Changing tempo within the same...

Hello, I joined this forum to see if it is possible within Audition to change the tempo of a song midway in a session. From the searches I have done this does not seem possible. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am researching what software can do this before I make a purchase. If Audition cannot change the tempo of a composition midway through a session then this feature needs to be included ASAP. There are plenty of musical styles that include tempo changes within the same song.

Thank you.

Audition is essentially an audio editor - song tempos mean nothing to it.

Thanks for your reply. I know that you can set the tempo of a session in Audition and thus have the metronome follow the tempo. Not having the ability to change tempo and/or time signature is a huge hindrance. You may as well not have the metronome if you plan to record anything with a time change.

never heard of changing a tempo using the metronome... but for the time signatures, my friend actually recorded sections of the metronome on different time signatures and pieced them together to make the click track.

In my situation I have a song that starts 4/4 130 BPM, then there is a bridge section that slows down to 4/4 95 BPM, and then the song returns to 4/4 130 BPM.

I guess recording an actual click track at the different BPM, then splicing it together is one way, but not very intuitive. Also, if you have any midi, or loops etc. they will not follow the BPM.

Still, thanks again for the replies guys.
