InDesign CS4 Debug not working on...

Dear All,

Two days back I purchased Bronze ASN memebership. This is the first time when I am trying debug version of InDesign. I have installed InDesign CS4 Debug on both Mac %26amp; Windows. On Mac it is working fine, but on windows it is not working.

Debug Indesign is not getting launch and asking for re-installation. I have re-installed 2-3 times. Release version allready installed one my PC. I have tried with differeent combination like ''install without Release version of InDesign'', ''insatalled on different drive'', etc.

I hope some one can help me to resolve this issue.

Regards,

Rajeev

InDesign CS4 Debug not working on...

The only time I've seen this is when I've tried to install it for remote

debugging.

They sort of expect you to install over the top of Visual Studio 2005 SP1 so

that all the debug dlls are in place.

You might be able to get away with installing just the DLLs but I would go

for a minimal install of VS2005.

InDesign CS4 Debug not working on...

Hi, That means after installation of Debug version of InDesign CS4, I have to installed VS2005. But VS2005 was already installed on my PC. Is it required for re-installation of VS2005.?Regards, Rajeev

Have u installed VS2008? better install it and start indesign.

We have VS2005 only. Will it work for VS2005?

If you've installed VS2005 + Service Pack 1 with the debug dlls then you

shouldn't have to re-install it.

Having said that if InDesign is not running then it's worth a try.

I think the Adobe terminology is Required not recommended, but the

recommended build environment for CS4 plugins is Visual Studio 2005 plus

service pack 1.

As has been said many times on this list, and I can confirm from painful

experience, you may have problems if you try to build your plugins with VS

2008.

Upto I've tried it didn't work in 2005.

Dear All,

I re-installed VS2005, but again it is not working for me. We don't have VS2008.

Rajeev

Plain VS2005 or VS2005 and SP1? You need SP1.
