Unlocking Swatches

I am currently using Illustrator CS4 on Windows x3.

I would like to know how to unlock a swatch.

I created my own swatch containing various patterns and now it is locked and I have no way of adding to it.

Is there a way of unlocking it?

Unlocking Swatches

This is a little hard to understand. Did you create a swatch library in a new document? If so, open that document and you should be able to add new swatches to the Swatch Panel by creating them on the artboard and dragging to the Swatch Panel. It sounds like that's what you did and have opened it as a library by using Window%26gt;Swatch Library and selecting the file that has the library you created. If this is what is happening then as above.

I had forgotten how I created the swatch in the first place, but your

suggestion solved the problem for me.
