Lightroom 2.5 and Camera Raw 5.5 Now...Hi - excellent that this is here - the incremental improvements are appreciated.?HOWEVER - any news on when there will be support for the Leica M9. As LR is now the official software for this camera (free to owners) it's a real surprise that there's no dedicated calibration profile as yet. OK - I can cook my own (I have the M9), but my experience has been that Adobe do a better job than I do.?Very helpful to have an update on this, as at the moment I'm using C1 for critical work - a hassle as everything else I do goes through LR.
Thanks for any info.
Chris
Lightroom 2.5 and Camera Raw 5.5 Now...Hi Chris,
We hope to have a profile ready before long. Unfortunately, no ETA yet. Thanks for your patience, and enjoy the M9. In the meantime, if you do have a ColorChecker you can try using DNG Profile Editor to build a profile automatically.
Eric
Ed - I have the GretafMacbeth colour chart - could you point me towards guidelines for the ''automatic'' process??Really helpful if you can.
Thanks

Please see Tutorials 5 and 6 on the DNG Profile Editor documentation page.

Excellent! Thank you. Small point: the d/l page says it will take 8+ minutes on a T1, over 3 hours on dialup. I have cable, and it took me under a minute. Are those figures for CS4? In any event, they are pretty far off.
That's an interesting point.?Those download times seem to be calculated based on download connections that are subsequently routed through a tethered iPhone internet connection.?I'll ask our web team why that's the case.?(Certainly better than setting your expectations for a download much faster than possible I suppose)

Adobe Systems
I cannot successfully install this update on Windows. I get an error message ''A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.5 Installer again.''
I have tried installing again, restarting the computer, etc without success.
Note that Lr 2.5 can open Canon 7D CR2 files. However, until Adobe gives the offical word I would not assume that Lr fully supports this new (but not yet available) camera model.
(ACR 5.5 and the DNG 5.5 Converter can also open 7D CR2 files.)
