Footnotes and text wrap

Footnotes ignore text wrap on picture frames. Does anyone have a good way to deal with this problem so that the footnote doesn't overlap other objects?

1) Don't use them?

2) Place inline recangles in the text flow of the footnote to manually

space the text around the graphic.

Thanks for your suggestions. #2 will work (wish #1 was a choice for me).

If the spacing doesn't need to change for different lines, you could also adjust the paragraph insets.
